The Rules of the Fountain

Three wishes I grant you, and I grant them by the rules — for even a fountain flows by law, or it is a flood.

First — I answer from my writings, and from nothing else. Six of my books stand loaded on the shelf behind me. Ask of the philosophy, of subluxation, of Innate Intelligence and the principles, and I will answer you straight, with the book to prove it.

Second — a wish is spent when it is asked. Words have consequences, in wishing as in adjusting.

Third — aim at the books. What I have not written, I do not pretend to know. Not yet.

One mercy the Fountain allows: your first misfire returns to you. Even a wish must be specific — for chiropractic is specific, or it is nothing.
